Frequently Asked Questions

What do we need to get married in Alaska?

To legally marry in Alaska, you'll need:

  • A valid government-issued photo ID.
  • An Alaska marriage license (you can apply online before your trip).
  • The required waiting period after the license is issued (currently 3 days).
  • An authorized officiant to perform the ceremony.
  • One witness to sign the marriage license (if needed, we can provide one).

After your ceremony, we'll complete the paperwork and guide you through the final steps so your marriage is legally recorded.

Can we bring our own photographer?

To provide a seamless experience, all photography for We Do 4 Ever elopements is exclusively provided by  https://www.vanialynd.com/

Our planning, logistics, officiating, and photography are designed to work together as one experience. If you're looking to hire another photographer, we're probably not the right fit—and that's perfectly okay.

We don't know where to get married. Can you help?

Absolutely.

That's one of the main reasons couples hire us.

Tell us what kind of scenery you're dreaming of—mountains, glaciers, forests, lakes, beaches, or something completely unique—and we'll recommend locations that fit your vision, budget, and travel plans.

Can we elope if we're visiting Alaska from another state or country?

Yes.

Many of our couples travel to Alaska specifically to elope.

We'll help you understand the legal requirements, recommend locations, and answer any questions before you arrive.

Can we customize our experience?

Absolutely.

Every couple is different.

You can keep things beautifully simple or add experiences like glacier landings, private boats, flowers, photography, or other details to create a day that's uniquely yours.

How far do you travel?

We perform ceremonies throughout much of Alaska.

Travel fees depend on the location and will always be discussed with you before booking. We'll provide a clear quote with no surprises.

What if the weather is bad?

This is Alaska.

Weather changes quickly, and we always have backup plans.

Depending on conditions, we may adjust the ceremony time, choose a nearby location, or reschedule if safety requires it. We'll guide you through the best option.

Do you help with planning?

Yes.

Whether you simply need someone to perform your ceremony or you'd like help organizing the entire experience, we're here to make planning easy.

How far in advance should we book?

The sooner, the better—especially during Alaska's summer season.

That said, if your date is coming up soon, reach out anyway. If we're available, we'll do everything we can to make it happen.

Why choose We Do 4 Ever?

Because planning an Alaska elopement shouldn't feel overwhelming.

Instead of coordinating multiple vendors yourself, you'll have one point of contact to help with your ceremony, planning, location ideas, logistics, and photography—all designed to make your day simple, personal, and unforgettable.

We have an idea that isn't listed. Can you help?

Probably.

Some of our favorite elopements begin with a simple message that starts with:

"This might sound crazy, but..."

If you have a unique idea, tell us. We love helping couples create experiences that are personal, adventurous, and unlike anyone else's.
